Taste of Pinot
Enrich an anniversary exhibition with an acousmatic installation.

This project is a site-specific composition of contemporary music and acousmatic design for the 60th anniversary exhibition of Pinot Grigio Santa Margherita.
The event took place at the 16th-century church S. Francesco Della Vigna in Venice. The two cloisters were used as commemorative installation space and press aperitif space. From that architecture we designed a two-layer soundscape to guide guests through the cloisters — letting them locate the source of the sounds and keeping a continuous sense of space.
In the first cloister, the history of the Pinot is retraced through the winds of the vineyards and the pouring of wine. In the second, a smooth jazz session, layered on the previous cloister’s sounds, enriches the aperitif area — condensing that history into the glass about to be tasted.
Three speaker locations carry two layers: the first layer at speakers 1 and 2, the second at speaker 3, so the exhibition cloister and the aperitivo cloister share a related but different mix.
