The Studio
Exploring Beauty in Sounds
We are a creative sound-art studio of two people based in Milano, Italy and Hangzhou, China. We create site-specific sound art installations and computational music projects. We express emotions, spatial and geographical data, knowledge and technology into sound art, which is invisible and subtle across different media and forms.
Our sound artworks derive from applying different methodologies such as field recordings, signal processing, sound synthesis, experimental techniques and instrumental sounds.

Why do I want to make art? Because I want to resonate with people, and I want the work to be felt. I explore the world with a desire to create, and I infuse what I see, hear and feel into sound.

I grew up by the seaside and have been making music since I was ten — both to share feeling in a common language, and to play with what sound can become. Computer science and music engineering are how those two instincts meet.
